Genomics, Epigenomics and Sequencing Core

Core Overview

The Genomics, Epigenomics, and Sequencing Core (GES Core), originally established as the Genomics and Microarray Laboratory in 1999, was restructured in 2012 as a facility focused on next-generation sequencing. The core provides comprehensive services to investigators at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, as well as external institutions nationwide.

Since its transition, the core has remained fully self-sustaining and has consistently maintained strong financial performance. It is currently among the best-equipped laboratories within the College of Medicine, offering advanced capabilities in next-generation sequencing, single-cell sequencing, and a broad range of genomics and epigenomics services.
