A:  The Cost of Attendance (COA) is a student’s estimated budget, including direct and indirect costs. The COA includes tuition and fees; housing and food; allowances for books and supplies; transportation; loan fees; and miscellaneous/personal expenses. Aid cannot be awarded above a student’s cost of attendance, but if you have an unusual expense that might affect your COA you may contact our office to determine if an increase to your budget is appropriate.

A:  All applicants accepted for admission are automatically reviewed for scholarship consideration. Candidates are identified through the admission process itself, meaning no separate application is required in order to be considered for most scholarships. An exception is the Schiff Family Foundation Scholarship in Primary Care which has need of additional materials to be submitted. In addition, incoming students may also choose to apply for need-based scholarships which are awarded by the Office of Student Financial Services.
