We worked with Churches Active in Northside (CAIN), a well-established food pantry, to help address health disparities associated with food insecurity. Specifically, we created easy-to-read and reusable food labels, in both English and Spanish, that help to inform the nutritional value of common items in the food pantry. These were specifically designed to address the most common chronic conditions guests had at the pantry based on our surveys, including hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.
