About the Program

Welcome to the Nuclear Medicine division! Division faculty are board-certified radiologists with subspecialty fellowship training and board certification in Nuclear Radiology. They provide expertise in diagnostic nuclear imaging and radionuclide therapy administration, working closely with referral services across UC Health and throughout the greater Cincinnati community. Faculty are actively involved in research and subspecialty education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Clinical Subspecialized Exams

In addition to offering a broad range of nuclear medicine planar, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT imaging studies, UC Health performs the following:

• Thyroid Cancer SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging and Radionuclide Therapy, including dosimetry
• Dotatate PET/CT imaging and Radionuclide Therapy (Lutathera^®) for Neuroendocrine Neoplasms
• PSMA PET/CT imaging for Prostate Cancer and soon to offer Radioligand Therapy (Pluvicto^TM) for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer
• Radionuclide Therapy (Xofigo^®) for painful bone metastases
• PET/CT and SPECT/CT imaging for Dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders
• PET/CT and SPECT/CT imaging for Epilepsy
• PET/CT imaging for Cardiac Sarcoidosis and other inflammatory/infectious conditions
• SPECT/CT imaging for Cardiac Amyloidosis
• Cardiac PET/CT imaging for ischemia, including Myocardial Flow Reserve determination

Division Highlights

• American College of Radiology accreditation for all SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT camera systems
• Participation in several multidisciplinary conferences, including:
